Louis Arul, SIA Regional Vice President South West Pacific, expressed his delight and thanks following the announcement.
“On behalf of the entire Singapore Airlines team, I would like to thank Roy Morgan. This award reflects our commitment to service excellence, and the contribution of colleagues in Australia and across the world; from our airport teams to our award-winning cabin and flight operations crew,” Arul said.
“Australia is one of our most significant markets, and our customers’ comfort, travel experience and safety remains our core focus.”
“This is the fourth time SIA has received this prestigious award, and we are honoured and grateful to be recognised again.”
Michele Levine, Roy Morgan CEO says Singapore Airlines has been consistently regarded as providing the highest customer satisfaction for international airlines for several years.
“Singapore Airlines has won a fourth straight Roy Morgan Annual Customer Satisfaction Award as the International Airline of the Year – winning in 2018 & 2019 (pre-pandemic), and since the pandemic ended, winning both 2022 and 2023. The four straight wins match the same result for Singapore Airlines from the inaugural award in 2012 through to 2015.
“The international airline business is an extremely competitive one with many international carriers flying to Australia and around the world,” Levine said.
“Since the pandemic restrictions eased in 2022 it has been Singapore Airlines to re-emerge as the favoured airline for Australians with high levels of customer service and delivering an unprecedented level of customer satisfaction over many years.
“Singapore Airlines won six monthly satisfaction awards in 2023 with an average customer satisfaction of 93.4% to edge out Emirates with five monthly satisfaction awards at an average of 92.6% and Air New Zealand in third with an average customer satisfaction of 90.6% during the year,” she concluded.
Elsewhere in Roy Morgan’s travel portfolio, Qantas was awarded ‘Domestic Business Travel Airline of the Year’ and Virgin Australia took out ‘Domestic Airline of the Year’ in 2023.
