Soul Deli Coffee is contemporary Korean cafe (by the people who brought us Soul Dining) in Surry Hills at the frontage of the Adge Hotel on Riley St. With booths with pink-tiled tabletops, dim lighting and plenty of space, you’ll find a Korean menu with great options for breakfast and lunch. The hotel also has some pretty cool wall murals.
The cafe has some well made coffee, specialty tea and sodas. The barista was excellent and also excelled at latte art.
Food wise, you can order a range of Korean inspired choices, such as KFC rolls, K-street toast, or a Kimchi cheese toast. But bacon and egg rolls or scrambled eggs are also available.
We also had Smashed Avo w White Kimchi Fresh avocado on sourdough, white kimchi, herb salad & lemon, two poached free range eggs (and a side of scrambled eggs for Len).
There’s other Korean speciality dishes like Ttteokbokki or Galbi bowls. We were there at breakfast time so we most certainly want to return for more of the lunch style food. That said, we did have the Umamishroom Bowl.
(You can pick rice, noodles or salad) and it features nicely seasoned sliced Portobello mushroom w house-made vegan bulgogi sauce and assorted pickles and an Onsen egg.
The menu here is great, food is delicious and we can’t wait to try more.
