Golden Eagle reveals Paris-Istanbul offering

Golden Eagle Luxury Trains, renowned for pioneering train travel experiences, has unveiled its inaugural voyage for 2025 – Paris to Istanbul/Istanbul to Paris.

This monumental 8-day journey marks a significant milestone in the company’s trajectory, showcasing its growing success and dedication to expanding its European portfolio aboard the Golden Eagle Danube Express. The journey will pass through France, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, Serbia, and Bulgaria before concluding in Turkey (or vice versa).

The itinerary includes expertly curated excursions, accompanied by relaxing afternoons onboard a private, five-star hotel on rails. In this unparalleled setting, unwind in the fusion of magnificent vistas and personalised, attentive service, making each moment a testament to the epitome of luxurious travel.

The voyage promises to be a testament to the legacy of luxury train travel and is the only premium private luxury train in Europe to offer all en-suite cabins with a personal cabin attendant.

Golden Eagle Luxury Trains offers the complete, all-inclusive luxury package – including five-star pre- and post-tour accommodation, airport transfers, a generous drinks and dining package, excursions, tour guides, and WiFi. Exclusive and unique excursions are also included in the package cost. They include a private visit to the Postojna Caves (featuring a surprise performance by saxophonist) and a performance by the “Cosmic Voices” (recognisable from the opening of the Tokyo Olympic Games) inside the hallowed Crypt of the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.

The journey will be hosted by James Masterson, Product Development Manager, and grandson of company Founder, Tim Littler.

The Paris to Istanbul and Istanbul to Paris voyage promises to enchant guests with its blend of sophistication, comfort, and cultural immersion. Dates have been set in 2025 for;

18-25 May and 5-12 September, from Istanbul to Paris, priced from US$17,595 per person twin share, Deluxe Class; and US$21,995 per person twin share, Superior Deluxe Class.
24-31 May and 11-18 September, from Paris to Istanbul, priced from US$17,595 per person twin share, Deluxe Class; and US$21,995 per person twin share, Superior Deluxe Class.

The journey’s 2026 dates are scheduled for 23-30 May and 12-19 September (eastbound only at this time). Pricing has not been set for 2026.

Last month, Golden Eagle Luxury Trains announced the appointment of Queensland-based Megan Bardsley as its sales specialist in Australia and New Zealand. Bardsley knows the rail brand well having previously worked with Golden Eagle in the early 2000s as Marketing Director.
